The big one for this week, MEBC vs GHAP A wasn’t really the match we hoped for with MEBC fielding a team 2 thirds different & the result was as to be expected, a 17-1 drubbing by MEBC. You’ve got to think is it worth playing in those sorts of matches that are so unbalanced? And teams who faced MEBC that were obviously of a lower standard, do you take that as an insult?
Whilst I understand MEBC have a rotating door policy for player’s & play who’s available that week, it does seem odd that a game against the possible top spot rivals managed to summon up some Division 1 players & a Division A players, whilst the previous weeks had none!
In other news from Division , Don’s took a sizable chunk out of Balderstone A to win 14-4, making them second in the division.
Oakgate A hosted Alpha A this week & Alpha were looking to take the fight to them & get a maiden victory, but alas it wasn’t to be, with Oakgate taking a 12-6 win on a surprisingly winless Alpha team.
Looking ahead to week 4 we have Don’s at home to Alpha which looks like a tough one for Alpha given the recent form, GHAP A are away to Balderstone A looking to find some wins after the heavy loss last week & finally Oakgate A wondering who they will face coming to them from MEBC.
