This week in Division 2 the match between Alpha B & Todmorden had to be rescheduled, but with Alpha B playing a week 3 game early (beating Oakgate B 14-4), the top of the division is incredibly tight with 3 points between them, them being David Lloyd, Heys A & Alpha B, in that order. Heys A were a bonus point away from joint top & Alpha were only 2 points away.
All three teams have had a great two weeks of matches with David Lloyd having strong win against Saddleworth & an away win of 16-2 against a GHAP B team that won the previous week 12-6 against Alpha C.
Hey A have a revamped team & it’s obviously worked as they have had two strong wins, a road trip first week saw them beat Todmorden 12-6 followed by the first home match, with a massive 17-1 win over Oakgate B.
Alpha B also had two strong wins, the first against Shawclough 13-5 away from home & the second also away at Oakgate winning 14-4.
Todmorden will be looking for their first win of the season, travelling to play Saddleworth, GHAP B will be hoping to bounce back against Shawclough, and Alpha C have a tough task taking on David Lloyd away. Heys have a bye this week.
